Towcester Research Limited is an innovative independent technology company with expertise in electronics and signal processing as applied to uncooled thermal imaging.

The Directors have a total of over 60 years experience in this technology from its early stages as an exclusively military product through to the low cost microbolometers in use today.

After its foundation in 2013, the company set out to design from scratch the new range of TapIR shutterless uncooled thermal imaging engines using the latest detectors becoming available from the French company ULIS -now Lynred. These engines and the imaging products designed around them are designed in and supported from the UK.

Export of these products is controlled and authorised as required by the UK government and is not subject to US ITAR restrictions
